At the summit, you will find a large stone cairn marking the peak, along with a trig point. The views from here are worth the steep climb!

Grassy and rocky with some boggy areas especially following rains.

Slievenamon is primarily composed of granite, a hard and durable rock formed from the slow crystallization of magma beneath the Earth's surface. This makes for some rather sturdy hillsides, and let's just say, you won't find too many crumbling rocks here!
